WHO IS THE EGG TART KING? I’m an avid fan of bucket lists – check, check, check. When there are too many foods to try and too little time, you gotta go with recommendations to get the most out of your daily 1500 calorie intake quota. Make sense right? This TimeOut list for the best egg tarts in HK got me thinking – there are 6 bakeries they recommend for egg tarts and that’s 5 too many bakeries for me. I want to know which one is the best one because I’m lazy like that and want to make sure I’m not losing out on good food. I know, some people will disagree and say that everybody will have a different preference and there’s no one same “best egg tart” for everybody because we are all different. However, there is an uniform set of characteristics of a good egg tart – a perfectly flaky and buttery crust, with a smooth, aromatic, sweet and yolky filling. And that’s what I’m after – the most “best” egg tart in HK. AND SO LET THE EXPERIMENT BEGIN!
